Formation of words   In every language words are formed by the combination of letters. For this purpose Capital (upper case) or Small (lower case) letters are used in English. In Urdu we do not have Capital letter or small letters. In Urdu we have only the original form, which we have learn in previous lessons.  For the purpose of making words in Urdu the letters are shaped according to the position it takes in the word. A letter in the beginning of a word is different from the one that comes in the middle of a word. Same letter takes a different shape when it appears at the end of the word. Let us know the different shapes of the same letter in different position in the word. The different shapes of the Urdu letters are shown in the following tables.   Note for the parents:   Kindly explain the above rules to the kids in detail. There are four tables provided for this purpose. Letter in Urdu is called Harf, (﴿ حرف and plural of Letter is called Huroof﴿ حروف ﴾   اردو الفاظ بنانے کا طریقہ   اردو الفاظ بناتے وقت حروف کی شکل مقام کے لحاظ سے بدل جاتی ہے۔ یعنی حرف اگر کسی لفظ کے شروع میں ہو تو اس کی شکل مختلف ہوتی ہے  اور وہی حرف کسی لفظ کے بیچ میں آجائے تو کچھ اور شکل ہو جاتی ہے۔ اسی طرح اگر وہی حرف کسی لفظ کے آخر میں آ جائے  تو الگ شکل اختیار کرتا ہے۔ تمام حروف کی تینوں صورتوں میں شکلیں ذیل کے چارٹ میں بتائی گئی ہیں۔ برائے مہربانی بچوں کو سمجھائیں۔
